This weekend was WONDERFUL! A boy's (and girl's) dream. Saturday Andrew and I went outside early to tackle the gnarled mess in the back. Fallen trees, old hog and dog sheds, rusty fences, old tvs, bathtubs... You name it, I bet there's at least one back there.
We took full advantage of the 60 degree day and put a big dent in the 'yardwork'. We did quite well until late afternoon when we were joined by friends armed with BB Guns, a dirt bike and a potato cannon. More pictures here. One can't work ALL day on a Saturday.
Today was another beautiful warm day spent working outside. The stubborn fence posts left yesterday were yanked out, thanks to the help of some chain and the truck. Although we didn't need warming up, we decided to burn the first of several bonfires.
Can't wait to have a big cookout and start another blaze. Our neighbors, K&T, braved the heat to roast marshmallows. They also helped us feed the fire and did some salamander fishing. Happy campers all around!
